2022 18+ Division Champions -- Mets
The Mets followed up their second straight Division crown with a 9-3 victory over the Trash Pandas in the 2022 Championship game.
The Mets jumped out to an early lead as Evan Klein led off the game with a single and later scored to put the Mets up 1-0 early. The Pandas answered with a run in the 3rd to tie the game at 1, followed by another run in the 4th to take a 2-1 lead, which they took into the bottom of the 5th. In the bottom half of that inning the Mets scored 5 times with 5 singles to break it open. On the pitching side, the Mets started Ryan Mitchell who went 5 1/3 and left with the lead for the win. Josh Drier came in and tossed 3 innings of one hit ball with 6 strikeouts for the save. MVP of the game was Evan Klein, who went 3 for 5 with a RBI scored twice and stole a base, as well as pitching 2/3 of an inning.
